Opening Celebration - 4th Annual Fibre Arts Festival

Tantramar Theatre, 98 Victoria Street East
This event provides an opportunity to welcome all fibre participants, artists and vendors to celebrate the 4th Fibre Arts Festival in downtown Amherst. An official welcome from the host committee with greetings from Robert Small, Mayor of Amherst; as well as festival sponsors: Downtown Amherst Revitalization Society (DARS) and Cumberland Regional Economic Development Association (CREDA).The evening will showcase local artists displaying their fibre art along with other displays of interest. The Opening Celebration is a relaxed event that encourages conversation and interaction with participants who share an interest in fibre art. Refreshments will be served and committee personal will be available with information regarding the festival and to answer your questions. Fibre Walk
The Fibre Arts Festival will be hosting a Fibre Walk (a fibre based art walk) in downtown Amherst during the Fibre Arts Festival this year. 2-3 pieces of work will be displayed in a downtown business for the festival to allow festival goers to visit the shops and services at their own pace and see some of the talent that this area has to offer. Fibre artists of all ages, experience and ability are encouraged to participate.
