Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival: Day 3

9:30 -3:30   “Back to Spool” workshop with Karen Neary, Christie Room, First Baptist Church

9:30 -330   Basket Weave Beginners Quilt Workshop with Sandra Ward, Arts & Entertainment Centre, Amherst Mall

9:00 -12 noon  Beginners Crochet with Jean Schieffer, Arts & Entertainment Centre, Amherst Mall

9:30-11:30 am Pom-pom trivet class for parents and children, Maggie’s Place

1-3 pm Fibre Fun for Kids (ages 8-14), Four Fathers Memorial Library

1-3 pm Studio Outside Hook-in Hangout at the Deanne Fitzpatrick Studio, 33 Church Street

3-5 pm Friendship Bracelets for Kids (Grades 4-6), Cumberland County Youth Development Centre, 17 Lawrence Street


6-8 pm Felting for Youth (Grades 7-12), Cumberland County Youth Development Centre, 17 Lawrence Street

6-8 pm Knitting for Beginners Part II with Chantelle Taylor, Arts & Entertainment Centre


EXHIBITIONS

 Monday, August 1 through Monday, August 8

For the Birds:  A Girl’s Eye View, an exhibit of rug hooking, needle felting, and wet felting by artists Gwen Dixon, Carol McCall, and Kate Sharpe at the Tidnish Bridge Art Gallery.  An artists’ reception will take place Wednesday, August 3, from

2-4 pm at the gallery.

 

 Monday, August 1 through Saturday, August 8

Needle Arts Exhibition at the Four Fathers Memorial Library, 21 Acadia Street

Rug Hooking Exhibit at Breakfast at Brittany’s, 45 Victoria Street East

Fibre and Needle Arts Exhibition at the Cumberland County Museum and Archives, 150 Church Street

Wednesday, August 3 through Saturday, August 6

 We Come Together, a show of rugs hooked by Deanne Fitzpatrick and her studio staff at the Deanne Fitzpatrick Studio, 33 Church Street, daily from 9 am to 5 pm.  Drop by for an oatcake and a view.
