The final few days of the 2009 Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival were hopping!
On Thursday, Doris Eaton was the featured artist at the Festival Dinner and Show at Bella's Café.
The Cumberland Quilt Guild hosted a Sew-In in the Ralston Room at First Baptist Church. The place was packed, and everyone had a wonderful time!
Dayle's Department Store organized a Crazy Quilt Demo featuring Vera McInnis and some of her stunning quilts.
Vera demonstrated hand embroidery stitches she uses to embellish her quilts.
Here's a peek at Justine Kerr's Felting Workshop held on Friday, and again on Saturday.
Friday also saw another Diamonds workshop with Karen Neary at First Baptist Church.
Sally Austin taught students how to knit Thrum Mittens. Such a beautiful display of colour and texture.
The Zonta Club of Amherst held a Bazaar at Tantramar Theatre and wowed everyone with the variety and quality of the finished fibre items for sale. The Zonta Bazaar has continued to grow bigger and better each year. This year the Bazaar will be held on Saturday October 14,2023. Watch for notice of times, vendors, and location as we get closer to the date.
